At your age

The ravages of time are starting to hit me folks. I went to the eye doctor this week and my vision has gone from 20/20 to 20/15. She told me that at this time I don't NEED glasses but at your age is when your vision starts to deterorite. She told me that I have another 10 years or so before I will NEED reading glasses and from there it will just be a slow progression to blindness.

Then I went to the dentist for my 6 month checkup as well and she told me that my teeth are fine but I need to be sure to floss more becasue at your age is where teeth start to get weaker and doing something as simple as eating peanuts could chip a tooth.

Man what a way to start a vacation.

Being home is cool and it sucks as well

Trying to handle some business affairs really can suck. I think that some business should be ashamed of the way that they have treated me since I have returned. If this is typical of how they treat people who come back from Iraq. I can tell you that Captial One Auto Finance and State Farm have been more than helpful to me while I try to handle affairs with them. My mortgage company Equity One sucks donkey nads, they want to charge me for 6 months of late fees because of an error they made. Well, before I left I told them that I would be in Iraq for 6 months and that if they need to get in touch with me for anyreason email me because that is the best way to get intouch with me.

Well they didn't do that instead they found it better to send letters and then charge me for not responding to those letters. That sucked then when I finally call them to resolve the problem they state as part of your mortgage agreement you are obligated to promply respond to all requests from Equity One or some such crap like that. I'm like even IF I got the mail in a reasonable amount of time sending a certified and notarized response would prove to be a bit difficult in a FUCKING war zone. Needless to say after my brief discussion with them we were able to come to an agreement.

My bank Washington Mutual has been a joke as well. They have been shutting my card down ever 6 hours or so whenever I try and make a purchase. When I go to the bank to ask about it they tell me nothing is wrong but, when I try and buy a snack or something they I'm denied for a 4.50 Iced Mocha. This too sucks, so in the past week I've been to the bank 5 times trying to find out what is going on with my card. Today I finally find out that they think my card is being used fraudulantly becuase it was used in Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, and the US in less that 50 hours. Which is true becuase I've been in travel about that long and to be fair it is my bank's job to look for activity like that. HOWEVER I told them and provided documentation that I was going to Iraq for 6 months and my likely return date. If they would have bothered to cross reference my account they would have know that it would have probably been me.

I also have to go toe to toe with my homeowners association about a few things. I'm really trying to avoid talking with them because they have been just awful as far as service. I suspect it's all a part of getting respect for doing your part for your country.

Well after being home for a few days

I can tell you that I sleep alot. My sleep cycles are all over the place. I haven't made one night where I was up past 7:30. Oh and drinking, you can forget it. I had maybe three sips of three drinks since I have been home and everytime I hit the bed right away. I'm just really enjoying resting really.
